In order to improve the mobility and transport of skis, Elan created a foldable ski with high-end ski performance and zero limitations of movement. It easily attaches to a pack quickly and securely. To achieve this design feat, Elan took the Ibex skis, cut them in half and connected them with a revolutionary folding mechanism that is built on a fixed aluminum plate that rotates 180 degrees and dissembles a 163 cm length ski to a 90 cm length ski in less than 20 seconds for easy transport. Furthermore, the performance of the plate makes the skis easier and more reliable to ski.
