Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap.
Effect: Makes the ski turn-friendly and allows for a stiffer flex setup. A longer ski can be selected.
The Revolt with 86 mm middle width is a pure-bred backcountry tip & tail rocker twin tip and a preferred choice of our team riders. The butterzone allows to pull off smooth transitions to switch and back. The carbon stringer delivers not only the right amount of pop but also nice agility in the turns. A tough box construction, P-Tex 3000 and a multi layer wood core round out the high quality setup.
