Borrowed from world-cup race skis, two different radii on the one ski - a tighter radius forward of the boot centre coupled with a 20% larger sidecut behind - increases the edge-to-edge responsiveness so you can carve short turns whilst retaining high speed stability and control through the tail of the ski.
Paulownia is a very light hardwood that is stable and easy to machine. Cores made with this material are lighter than Balsa/Flax cores, but are more expensive and require a lamination layer such as carbon-fibre to improve responsiveness.
Our standard core material. Poplar is a medium-weight, damp, vibration-absorbing softwood. Ash is a heavier hardwood that compliments the Poplar by increasing stiffness, responsiveness and providing a solid base for the binding screws.
Titanal is strong and light and has excellent dampening properties. These skis have a full layer of titanal giving excellent torsional strength and responsiveness.
The same construction and materials, with an alternative topsheet. If you want high-speed, corduroy-slicing carving turns in the morning and a nimble, responsive ride through the late-afternoon bumps on your way to après, look no further than the updated Dictator 1.0. Thanks to an updated shape, this ski is energetic, manoeuvrable and loves engaging it’s Dual Titanal layers to track out turns in bullet-proof conditions.
