Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap.
Effect: Makes the ski turn-friendly and allows for a stiffer flex setup. A longer ski can be selected.
The most versatile all mountain twin tip on the hill, the Transfer 89 features tip and tail rocker and a directional shape of 122-89-112 mm. Bolstered by a Multi-Layer wood core, carbon stringers and our bomber tough box construction, this very maneuverable ski feels at home in the pipe and park as well as on the slopes.
