Our Progressive Flex Core™ features a trio of ash, basswood, and locust. Progressive Flex is the result of a thin strip of black locust wood in the waist of the ski that gradually widens towards the tip and tail, unlike traditional constant width sidewalls. This core produces a light ski with a responsive flex pattern optimized to keep edge hold strong by dampening vibration at the tip and tail. Ash underfoot helps drive the ski through each turn with stability and control.
The Ellipse is designed to be skied every single day on the East or West coast. It will hold its edge without compromise on ice and bumps, yet with its mid-fat waist and large upturned shovel the Ellipse will perform off piste perfectly. The turned up tapered tail helps pivot turns in the powder and crud. Coupled with an aggressive sidecut, The Ellipse allows you to lock in each turn with an automatic and super fun transition to the next.
