If it snows 20cm or more overnight we take the morning off to go and smash out some laps. This means the stoke in the factory is always high and you can rest assured your skis or board is being put together by happy campers with s#!t eating grins. It's always nice to know the people putting your ride together have actually ridden the same product, possibly even that morning!
Prior Snowboard Manufactory Ltd. warrants all products to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of three years from the date of purchase.
Super slick 4000 grade sintering means you'll be first to the bottom every time. As opposed to extruded bases in lower quality boards, sintered bases act more like a sponge sucking up all the wax you can throw at them keeping you ahead of your friends!
All of our Snowboards, Skis and Splitboards are handcrafted in house at Prior’s custom boardshop in Whistler BC. Each ride is built with care by skilled snow lovers using the finest quality materials while loud rock and roll is played.
Our quadraxial glass/carbon composite (quad glass) is a stitched fabric with fibers running in four directions (+30, -30, 0 and +90 degrees). It also contains two 6cm-wide, 10-count carbon strips running lengthwise down center of each ski. The quadglass material is layered on each side of a vertically laminated maple woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls, 4001 sintered bases and nylon topsheets. The fiberglass/carbon configuration of quadglass creates a responsive, long lasting ride with excellent torsional stability. The additional directional weave creates enhanced torsional stiffness in comparison to the triaxial fibreglass construction.
Prior’s high-performance XTC Carbon Construction brings ski technology to the next level. XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade on all ski models and saves an average of 600 grams (1lb 5oz) off each pair. Weight reduction continues to be a key to backcountry skiing as less weight means more vertical, with less physical exertion. Ensuring that there is no decrease in performance with weight savings is often thought of as the Holy Grail for backcountry gear manufacturers and Prior’s XTC Carbon Construction takes a big leap towards that spiritual cup. In layman’s terms XTC Carbon Construction uses the same vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets as in their traditional construction but replaces the fibreglass weave with our proprietary XTC carbon weave.
