Laminates such as fbreglass or carbon-fbre are used to compliment the properties of the core material by increasing torsional strength, edge-grip and rebound.
Used on our Agent & Candide Thovex series, phenol is a hard plastic material that secures the binding screws. The one-piece design fits most touring bindings with centre screws.
Paulownia is a very light hardwood that is stable and easy to machine. Cores made with this material are lighter than Balsa/Flax cores, but are more expensive and require a lamination layer such as carbon-fibre to improve responsiveness.
Used on most of our skis. A traditional manufacturing method that provides strength, durability, good grip and edge hold. Rubber is used to dampen vibration and bond the base layers to the core.
STP Technology is a patent-pending process used to press a small wave into the length of the ski. This creates a ‘pre-stressed’ core with increased torsional strength, letting us use less wood to create lighter, more forgiving skis with above-average edge-grip. For 14/15, we have developed a variation of the technique that provides a perfectly flat base.
Tip rocker and either traditional or flat camber underfoot aids float off-piste yet retains feel on-piste.
Yearning to escape it all on the weekends but enjoying the lift-served terrain during the week? We hear you. With a lightweight paulownia and carbon core, the Agent 90 makes quick work of any uphill whether you’re on dawn-patrol getting in pre-work exercise or off to your favorite side-country line. Camber underfoot, a versatile and stable 92mm waist, tip rocker and a flat tail allows this versatile ski to excel all over the mountain.
