a) Ski under load stress:
The red line corresponds to the contact surface in the snow. This is shorter than with the traditional ski. The ski is therefore very easy to turn. At the same time the small aggressive radii at the point of the ski and at the end are eliminated, which means that the ski can not catch on these points.
KST = EASY HANDLING
b) Ski under load stress, tipped over:
When tipped, the contact surface becomes larger, the contact points move towards the front and the back, and this leads to very high curve control and grip. At the same time ever smaller radii are exerted. Depending on how the ski is tipped, tight turns as well as wide swings can be carved out at any speed in a controlled manner.
KST = WORLD CLASS PERFORMANCE
KST – that means rocker comfort on piste and icy terrain. A technology quantum leap resembling that of the carving revolution. The Kessler Shape Technology, developed and patented by Hansjürg Kessler, enables us to combine the enjoyable effects of rocker-boards and -skis on the ski piste with the demands of safety, grip of edges and stability. The special clothoid board geometry allows applying an infinite number of radii on turns and permits variable turn radii with one and the same pair of skis: carving small and tight turns as well as long drawn-out turns at all speed levels. The pressure of the edges is effective where it is needed and at the same time reduced where it handicaps. There is no longer the danger to easily catch edges, and the strain reduction on the body is a huge gain of safety at all performance levels.
