Специально спроектированный конструктив. Сердечник лыжи скомпонован из двух сортов древесины - тополя и бука. Передний и задний низкопрофильный рокер. Для снижения вибрации и облегчения лыж применен специальный легкий пористый материал Tubecomb.
A profile with low tip and tail rocker, combined with minimum camber. The tip and tail rocker gives a ski that is super easy to ski on hardpacked and add float on the softer days. The camber increases the stability and versatility of the ski.
Poplar wood has low density, while beech wood has higher density and absorbs vibrations very good. The mix between the two makes a ski playful, yet stable on hard packed snow.
Most ski vibrations occur in the tip and tail, and then transmit into the center of the ski. To reduce this we use Rubber Dampening in both tip and tail.
To decrease the wood core vibrations we put a Rubber Dampening stringer along the full length of the wood core.
Based on the geometry of the multiple award winning Second Opinion 118, but with a waist of 108 mm and a little shorter radius. This width in the Opinion series is made for the skier who wants a versatile freeride ski to use every day over the mountain, regardless of snow conditions.
To this winter, the construction is identical to the wider Second Opinion 118, which has resulted in a more playful and 15 % lighter ski. The construction and rocker profile of the Opinion range is optimized for soft snow but can also be skied with plenty of pressure on the slopes.
Second Opinion 108 is an ultra-light glass fibre ski (1900 g at 186 cm), made out of snappy poplar wood and light paulownia wood. In the tip and tail we use the ultra-light aerospace material Tubecomb for lowest possible swing weight. The harmonious tapered tip and tail, combined with the long low-rise rocker profile, creates fantastic floatation in powder and makes them easy to manoeuvre in all conditions.
