Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap.
Völkl’s first women‘s powder surf ski with Taper shaped sidecut, full sidewall, carbon stringers and Full Rocker design, the Bash 116 W only weighs 2150 g @ 176 and is a favorite amongst women wanting an easy, drifty powder ski for deep or variable soft snow conditions. The taper in the nose and tail allows this twin tip ski to go anywhere the skier points it with ease.
